We see an opportunity to make a difference

For communities to prosper, people need reliable employment and income. For businesses to be able to provide this employment they need to navigate the challenges that arise, as the world continues to change.

The rate of change is increasing and because of this, some skills will go but new skills will be required and new markets will emerge. New Zealand is well positioned to lead innovation.

We believe change done well strengthens a business and strong businesses help create strong communities. Simple.

Change management

Using proven change management approaches, The Change Office focuses on the gap between requirements and results to support people to adopt and use the changes being introduced.

Our mission is to create converging paths that bring together change management and project management, to achieve the business objectives.

Why Change Management?

Three reasons to adopt a structured approach to Change Management

change done poorly can hurt

Employing effective change management greatly assists an organisation to achieve their desired outcomes and remove the problems that drove the need for change in the first place.  When change is done poorly, stress will rise, people will disengage, frustration levels will increase, costs can balloon out and productivity is affected.

to keep pace with the future

Change is occurring now. There are rapid advances in areas such as nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, self-driving vehicles, sustainability pressures, quantum computing, renewable energy, bio technology and changing markets. New markets and new opportunities will emerge though and with that, new skills will be required. Organisations will continue to introduce new systems and technology, there will be needs to adjust roles and structures and people will need to adapt their ways of working. It's the organisations that are smart and bring those changes in well, who will be ahead.

To create efficiency, consistency and involve people.

It’s not hard to find examples (or legacies) where change did not deliver the results required. Change management in an organisation can be far more effective when standard, proven approaches are in place and aligning change with an organisation’s values and involving people in the change is vital. Involvement clearly demonstrates the importance placed on the value of people.
